Accessible Buildings

Many Canadians with disabilities face barriers which prevent them from fully accessing facilities and services that the rest of us take for granted.

As a result, many provinces and municipalities have implemented local building codes and similar ordinances to meet specific standards of accessible design for new construction and alterations.

Accessible Design for People with Disabilities

  • It is detectable to a blind person using a cane. Jet Towel normally measures from 19cm above the floor with the top of the unit reaching 88 cm above the floor.
  • It is accessible to a person using a wheelchair due to its low installation requirement and open side design.
  • Its compact low-height design minimizes it’s protrusion into walkways and circulation paths.
  • The front cover and downward airflow helps to prevent high-powered airflow from blowing into the face of a person sitting in a wheelchair.
