ALL-IN-ONE HYDRONIC HEATING, COOLING, AND DOMESTIC HOT WATER

The Mitsubishi Electric Ecodan WUZ AirtoWater Heat Pump delivers hydronic heating, chilled water for cooling, and domestic hot water production. Proven across Europe since 2011, the Ecodan WUZ is now optimized for Canadas coldest climates. Its refrigerantsplit R32 system delivers efficient heat pump performance and hydronic comfort. By keeping water circuits indoors, this design eliminates the need for glycol or heat trace and reduces installation and maintenance costs. Integrated components and flexible piping options further simplify installation.

Design & Integration Flexibility

The outdoor unit connects to the all‑in‑one Hydrobox, which houses the refrigerant to water heat exchanger and hydronic accessories for streamlined installation and simplified service access. The outdoor unit extracts thermal energy from ambient air through a refrigerant circuit. An inverterdriven compressor circulates the refrigerant to the indoor hydrobox, where heat is transferred to water. The hydroboxs internal pump then distributes heated or chilled water through the buildings hydronic emitters, including radiators, underfloor heating, fan coils, panel radiators, or baseboards. It maintains strong performance in low‑ambient conditions and is suitable for both new construction and boiler‑replacement retrofit applications.

New Construction

  • Supports modern low‑temperature hydronic heating design while still delivering high water temperatures where required.
  • Reduces reliance on fossil‑fuel infrastructure and simplifies mechanical system integration.

Retrofits & Boilet Replacements:

  • Works with existing distribution systems when paired with appropriate supply temperatures.
  • Built‑in boiler integration supports hybrid configurations for staged electrification.

Multi‑Family & Light Commercial

  • Compact, allinone Hydrobox consolidates key system components into a single enclosure, simplifying installation and servicing while fitting into spaceconstrained mechanical rooms.
  • Long piping allowances and a small footprint provide greater flexibility in outdoor placement.
